Considered physically the mightiest of the Great Dragons and possibly the most fearsome being upon Lithmeria, Adarrdanothos is terror incarnate. A towering beast that dwarfs any who stand before him, the very whisper of his coming is enough to send the population of an entire town fleeing blindly into the countryside, along with the garrison tasked with defending them. When challenged, Adarrdanothos is said to be able to coat entire plazas with white hot flame, indiscriminately burning everything before him.
Adarrdanothos is possessed of a wildly unpredictable greed that drives him ever onward in search of plunder, destruction and death. None except he knows specifically what it is he craves. It is known only that throughout the millennia preceding the current age, his terrible wrath has been felt on both continents. History has largely forgotten the names of most of the settlements that he wiped from the face of existence, which more than anything else gives witness to the sheer totality of destruction he visited upon them.
Most recently, Adarrdanothos set his baleful gaze upon the city of Caledra and reduced it to a charred slaughterhouse of terror in a single fiery night. The city, once the jewel of the emerging Sovereignty is now a derelict maze of scorched buildings, crumbling walls and ash. Adarrdanothos resides in the heart of the devastation he wrought in that place, his mighty form visible above the rooftops near the center of the city.
For now, Adarrdanothos seems content to slumber within Caldera but few doubt that there will come a time when he spreads his wings once more and takes to the skies once more. When that day comes none can consider themselves truly safe, for neither the tallest wall nor the most potent spell is proof against the will of He Who Consumes.
