Description:

Vihar is the God of Ocean Storms, and is worshipped as well as feared by sailors of every sort -- from the lowly fisherman simply trying to feed his family and earn a little coin on the side, to the commander of a vast Aspalarian naval fleet bound for Teladir. Those foolish enough to earn His ire, or that of His priests, learn all too quickly just how destructive an ocean storm can be... while those earning the favor of the Storm Lord find their journey sped by winds in their sails without a dark cloud in sight.

Priesthood Restrictions:

Priests of Vihar should live in close proximity to the ocean, and must spend at least 3 months out of the year aboard a seafaring vessel.

Extra Lore:

Vihar favors the great whale among all other beasts, and encourages his followers to actively hunt down whalers wherever they are found. The sighting of a great whale during a voyage is considered by most to be a favorable sign, though there are those few who see only disaster. The truth of the matter is that like the sea, Vihar's blessings come and go with the wind, and even his most devoted sometimes find themselves on the wrong side of the approaching storm.
